Land preparation	Prepare soill to fine tilth with thorough ploughing and harrowing. Apply suffient organinic manure and basal fertilizers. Create raised beds with proper leveling to ensure drainage.
Best Practices	Side shoot thinning – In case of staked crops it is done on routine basis. Removal of secondary branches in the first 10 nodes has positive effect on yield.
Irrigation	It basically depends on soil & climate. In the early stages of growth once in 3 days. From flowering to fruiting once in 2 days. Irrigate the vines on need basis, does not require any irrigation in rainy season or when there is sufficient moisture in the soil. Drip irrigation is better option in water scarcity areas. Nutrient Management (N:P:K)	Fertilizer application depends on soil type, fertility level & soil inorganic matter. In sandy soils fertilizer application consists of a basal application followed by four/five top dressings providing a total of 184:112:124 kg NPK/ha. In clay or heavy texture soils, the entire amount of P & one-third of N & K is applied before planting. The balance of N & K is applied in two or more side dressings. No matter the soil type, the first side dressing is applied when plants start developing tendrils. Subsequent side dressings are applied at two week intervals. Compost or manure can be used to satisfy the basal application of organic fertilizer.
Harvesting	Harvest the crop based on the utility. Use knife for harvesting fruit instead of using the nail. Don’t mix ripened fruit with other fruits as they have very bitter smell & release ethylene.
