BASF Vegetable Seeds hosts All-Russian Processing Summit

The Second All-Russian Processing Summit was held on November 19 in Krasnodar, Russia. This significant event included main processors, industry leaders, and global experts.

With a processing lamp like a multicrop innovation symbol for cucumber processing, tomato processing and peas, the Summit’s main message – Trends and Innovations in the Processing industry – gave an extra opportunity for Russian processing companies to look over the industry with a global perspective.

The distinctive and most important feature of the Summit were the members – key industry representatives who effectively combine all stages of the process, from growing and harvesting to processing and retail. This collaboration affords to discuss effectively the entire industry and rise questions on every level on the same platform.

Together with experts, participants had the opportunity to look over the industry both on country and global levels. This approach marked up common trends and opportunities for further development.

Among speakers participated local specialists – Pavel Kornilov, Cucumber Processing, Sales, Russia, Gennadiy Strusovskiy, Tomato Processing and Peas, Sales, Russia and global BASF Vegetable Seeds specialists – Andreas Herr, Cucumber Processing product development and Alberto Achilli, Tomato Processing, Sales, Italy.

At the end of the Summit, participants had open discussions during crop based round tables and went through the most interesting and important topics of the processing industry, to get recommendations and valuable advice from international experts.

This Processing Summit is the Second International event for representatives and specialists all over Russia. The first one was held in 2016 and was strongly appreciated by participants, therefore BASF Vegetable Seeds Russian team decided to organize it regularly, providing processors of Russia the chance to exchange and gain international experience in order to strengthen and develop the business and industry as well.

The day finished with a gala dinner, where speakers and guests communicated in an informal way. The participants highly appreciated the contribution of BASF Vegetable Seeds to the Russian processing industry development.
