Storm Seeds B.V. acquires pulses seed business from BASF | Nunhems

Opglabbeek (Belgium), Nunhem (The Netherlands), September 26, 2023 – Storm Seeds B.V., one of the leading vegetable seeds companies in Belgium, signed an agreement with BASF’s vegetable seeds business to purchase its pea and bean seed activities Both companies agreed not to disclose financial details of the transaction.

“We are extremely happy to take over the pea and bean seed activities of BASF | Nunhems®,” said Pieter Storm, Managing Director of Storm Seeds. “The acquisition enlarges our portfolio for peas and beans, and it adds a new crop to our business. With this acquisition, we offer our customers a broader portfolio and it will strengthen our leading position in pulses.”

Both BASF and Storm Seeds are wholly committed to working closely together to ensure a seamless transition and to guarantee the uninterrupted supply of seed varieties. 

Closing is anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2023.
