Nunhems Introduces Bellé – A new variety of Cucumber 

Introducing Bellé, a new addition to the cucumber portfolio of Nunhems. Bellé is a French word that means a ‘beautiful lady.’ With its slender fruit appearance, Bellé is a variety that stands true to its name.

With the demand for slender cucumbers on the rise, the mottle green segment is constantly expanding in India. Taking cognizance of this shift, Nunhems India decided to step up to the task. The aim was to introduce a variety that could bring a paradigm shift in the consumption pattern.

Bellé has an attractive medium green colour. It has a maturity cycle of 40-42 days and a fruit length between 18-24 cms. The key USPs of the variety include moderate plant vigour & earliness, exceptional transportability,  intermediate resistance to ToLCNDV (Tomato Leaf Curl New Delhi Virus) and capacity to better withstand Downy Mildew disease.

With the introduction of Bellé,  Nunhems aims to make an aplomb entry in Karnataka, a major cucumber hub in India. It is a high-yielding variety with unmatched endurance. On an average, Bellé can sustain 4-5 more picking cycles than competitors. This increased yield translates into greater profits for farmers.
