Artichoke 

As the first provider of Artichoke seeds, BASF | Nunhems has become the leader in this market. Over the last 12 years, we have gained an in-depth knowledge of this crop and an amount of experience that makes all the difference. We offer growers plenty of options to cater to local demands by providing no less than 11 Artichoke varieties, with new varieties being developed and introduced regularly. 

A diverse range to meet growers’ needs 

Our artichoke assortment contains seeds for purple, green and purple/green artichokes, differing in size, shape and preferred growing period. As growers have come to expect from us, we focus strongly on yield and uniformity, developing Artichoke seeds that consistently deliver on these traits.

We actively research ways and methods that enable growers to keep growing a profitable crop. One example are our efforts to help minimize problems arising from water supply issues. We look for new geographical regions and research the use of automations and artificial intelligence to optimize water management.
