BASF | Numhems leads the gourd market in the key segment of bitter gourd. But that popular variety of this regional crop is far from the only one we offer. There are 13 gourd varieties to choose from, including both spiny and smooth bitter gourds, bottle gourds and one Luffa variety.

Disease resistance without compromise

Currently our varieties have a dual resistance against both whitefly, the transmitter of multiple diseases, and powdery mildew. When we develop new resistant varieties, we don’t sacrifice other desirable traits, like high yield, high quality and great taste.
